Art at the Point is an exciting art gallery located at Dennes Point – the northern most tip of Bruny Island in Tasmania.

We are open from 10.00am until 4.00pm Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. During the Summer we will extend the hours and days we are open.

Art at the Point gallery features predominantly the work of Bruny Island artists… painting, printmaking, ceramics, jewellery, textiles, sculpture, and locally produced art cards. The art work at Art at the Point is unique and often has strong references to place. Many of our artists respond directly to the beautiful island landscape, wildlife and history and work across a range of media.

The Gallery is located in the new contemparary wood and glass building At the Point designed by John Wardle and Associates and built primarily by community volunteers. The project was funded by a grant from the Commonwealth Government and the Kingborough Council and contains not only the purpose designed Gallery, but also the wonderful Jetty Cafe and Produce Store

Art at the Point gallery shows the work of over 40 artists who either live full time or part time on the island. Those artists whose work we almost always have in stock include:

Good morning! Well over a year ago I visited your gallery and bought a beautiful loose-woven cotten scarf in lovely shades of orange, purple and brown. There were scarves in other autumn coulours as well and it was hard to decide. But I chose well and have worn the scarf all over the world. I am hoping you are still open and that your weaver is still weaving her magic. I would like to buy some to take away with me on my upcoming trip. I hope you can help me. Contact phone is 0407725110. Warm wishes, Rebecca

Great to see that you’ll be exhibiting Michael Morgan’s latest works during October. I’m familiar with his oeuvre and it’s a privilege for Art at the Point Gallery to have the opportunity to exhibit the Bon Vivant paintings. It’s a pity we don’t have access to some of the works on your website pre-Exhibition – all I can find is the poster/card advertisement and similar meagre offerings when clicking on October Exhibition – Bon Vivant. Perhaps good discussion of the paintings could be offered via your website during the Exhibition for those of us who can’t attend (I live interstate) – you never know, you might end up with some purchases via the internet!

What a delightful gallery and café and to catch up with old artist friend Remis R for a coffee was a joy. Best wishes to all
